I have a question about atmospheric correction and the use of ground
targets. If we have good calibration targets (field spectrometer,
temporally invariant targets, good GPS), is there ANY reason to pre-process
an image (in this case, AVIRIS) using atmospheric correction software such
as ACORN, ATCOR4, etc if we are planning on running an empirical line
    calibration using these ground spectra?
