hi...!!!!!

finally...ENVI people to talk to!!! could you please help me??
quite new to idl (and envi) to work on modis L2 images. a combined
idl-envi script was handed down to me to process the images to georeference
and extract of geophysial values. and i'm stumbling on these 2 issues:

1) i can't seem to find envi commands/scripts to do the final display
steps:
                    1) color mapping (using pre-defined color tables)
                    2) interactive streching,
                    3) putting the scalebar
                    4) putting the coastline
                    5) finally output to jpg or tiff
i only saw interactive steps from the HELP menu but no equivalent command
to use in scripts. would you know any scripts or at least envi commands
to use at least to start with???

2) The # of GCP's to be used to georeference
are specificied as long integers (e.g. 100L, means use 100 GCP
pts to georef). it worked for the smaller-sized images for which
it was written for, but i'm getting error now with bigger images
when i specify more than 800L GCPs:

"Attempt to subscript with #L is out of range..."

has this something to do with long integers, the size of
my input image array, or this 8- 24-bit concept (that
i still don't know much about...:-/ ) ?? i don't understand!!!
hope you could help, please.. thanks!!!

cheers,
mimoy
