The following message is directly from the president and CEO or Research
Systems - the authors of ENVI:
    ******************

As many of you may have heard this morning, Research Systems, Inc. (RSI) has
been acquired by ITT Industries as part of ITT's purchase of Kodak's Remote
Sensing Systems operation. As RSI is presently a stand-alone business
within Kodak, the transition to ITT should occur quite seamlessly with
little to no impact on our customers.

RSI has a proven track record for commercializing software technologies and
services, and will continue to develop the IDL and ENVI software technology
platforms and grow its global services offerings for the same customers and
markets that we have traditionally served. The RSI customer base will enjoy
the same high level of product support and services during and following
    this transition.

With this acquisition, ITT will combine the offerings of Kodak's Remote
Sensing Systems business, and RSI, with its own to form a new Space Systems
Division. This new division will maintain the current management structure
of Kodak and RSI, which will further enhance continuity within RSI's
    business.

I would like to thank you for your continued support of RSI and our
products. We look forward to working with ITT Industries to further
enhance our product and service offerings for the benefit of you, our
    customers.
