FURTHER-PROCESSED (“VALUE-ADDED”) SEAFOOD PRODUCTS SOUGHT
Since 1994, the Symphony of Salmon has showcased new, further-processed
seafoods, based on Alaska salmon. The Symphony, sponsored by the Alaska
Fisheries Development Foundation and the Alaska Seafood Marketing
Institute, is a nationally recognized contest of innovation and
creativity in seafood product formulation and presentation.
The next Symphony (January 2000) is being expanded, to include seafood
products based on Alaska whitefish, such as Alaska pollock and Pacific
cod. Therefore, the name of the event has been changed to the “Symphony
of Seafood”.
AFDF invites any person or company who produces a further-processed
seafood, based on _Alaska_ wild salmon, or _Alaska_ white fish (cod,
pollock, etc.), to enter the 2000 Symphony of Seafood. More information
on the Symphony can be found at -- www.symphonyofseafood.com
Special Notes --
(1) Products must be based on Alaska species.
(2) Entrants can be based anywhere (not necessarily Alaska or USA)
