Despite having used various tests kits including ATP, Protein Residue
kits, Total Aerobic Bacteria surface swabs, Faecal Coliform swabs,
Listeria and E.coli 0157 (ELIZA) swabs, its hard to get away from what I
call the LOOK-SEE test. If it looks clean, your on the right track. If
it doesn't look clean its not. Despite all the fancy gadgets out there,
it's the look see test that will turn out to be the most cost effective
in most applications. I feel I need to qualify because in high-risk,
ready-to-eat processing plants need to go the extra step.
