finding some Pacific Squid

HELP!

I am trying to locate 2 hundred to 5 hundred pounds of frozen Pacific squid
(Loligo opalescens) for a fisheries professor who normally buys the squid
locally to use in a biology class (for disection). He can no longer buy it
here due to season or lack of abundance. He has tried South American squid
(Dosidicus gigas)to no avail. Not being a biologist I don't understand the
fine art of disection but he says the organs of the SA squid are not well
differentiated and it is hard to teach his class using them.

Does anyone know where he could buy the opalescens this time of year? Is
there another species which would be a good substitue for a class on
discection? Any good ideas would be appreciated especially if he could buy
them commercially and have them shipped frozen to an Oregon vendor.

The preferrable size of the squid would be about 12 inches from tip of tail
to tip of tenacles.

Thanks.
