Subject: posting etiquette - no soliciations
Hello Pamela,
I don't mean to be rude, but please can you explain why you think it is
acceptable etiquette for those with positions to fill to post their
interests on this list, but not so for those seeking positions . In my
view, the list should either operate as a market for buyers and sellers
of services to get together, or it should not (in which case, please
ban all employment related postings). I cannot see that there is any
material difference arising from who solicits whom.
Personally, I was pleased to see Samirdev's posting, as I know several
operators who are seeking someone with exactly his credentials, and I
have forwarded his contact details to them. His initiative has generated
potential for two parties to gain mutual benefit in the subject of our
interest. What is wrong with that?
Best wishes
