      Hi Gita, Juan and all
These references might be of interest in this regard - esp. the last 3 documents
I've seen compositional data with Total Phosphorus values for Frozen Shrimp ranging from 200-300mg/100g as P
and Moisture values ranging from 70 to 82% (yes, seemed too big a range but there it is) - I think anything over 79% seems suspect to me but.........
I've used the ratio of acidic water extractable phosphorus to total phosphorus as an indicator if a sample has been treated or not (>0.15 or so seems to indicate phosphate application)
It seems there may be a common analytical method out there now for detecting added phosphates directly perhaps using ion chromatography.
As you said one really is concerned about the moisture content from an economics standpoint anyway.
I hope this helps or at least stimulates discussion.

        Dear friends,

My client would like to find information regarding phosphate in shrimp or prawns.

Is there any standard or free scientific journals I can have access to in regards to the type of natural phosphate (P2O5) within shrimp and the method for testing phosphate-treated shrimp?

Based on my knowledge that checking phosphate-treated shrimp is not by testing the phosphate, instead by testing the moisture content. Is this correct? What I want to know is there any official/scientific references for this matter?

        Thank you.

        Best regards,
        Gita
