    QA & S Manager

     

    Leading food processor based in greater Bellingham WA area is in need of a
    seasoned Quality Assurance and Sanitation Manager.

    Position Overview

    The QA/S Manager is responsible for quality, sanitation, laboratory and pest
    control as well as environmental compliance to enable the operations
    department to manufacture high quality food products that comply with
    company, industry, customer and regulatory standards. The QA/S Manager
    coordinates laboratory services for analysis of raw materials, in-process
    product and finished goods. This person will have responsibility for the
    supervision and direction of the Quality Assurance and Sanitation teams and
    will ensure that all personnel are properly trained and all technical
    procedures are followed correctly. This person sets lab standards and
    ensures SPC (weights & measures) compliance. This person represents
    operations during regulatory inspections and audits and owns the
    responsibility for maintaining consistency between all written procedures
    and the actual procedures in use in the plant operations.

    Requirements

    * 5+ years related experience in food industry including proven
    leadership and experience in a Quality Assurance/Sanitation environment.
    * 5+ years direct supervisory experience.
    * Must have experience with multiple third party audits.
    * Must have working knowledge of Best Practices in Quality Assurance
    and Sanitation including HACCP.
    * Ability to build an organization through proven leadership,
    supervising, coaching and mentoring.
    * College degree or proven equivalent experience.
