Hi all

WORLD SEAFOOD CONGRESS 07
"Innovation - Quay to the Future"
Dublin, Ireland
Activities from 23 - 28 September 2007
An exciting opportunity for the world of seafood to network, hear what is going on, get up dated, assist in influencing decision makers and to make a difference. Every two years this opening is presented to us by IAFI co-sponsored by FAO, UNIDO and WHO and on this occasion hosted by BIM, Irish Food Safety Board and Enterprise Ireland.
Timetable of Events
Sunday 23 and Monday 24 September 2007
IAFI Workshops - see http://www.iafi.net/workshops/ to get details of full program, workshop convenors and registration.
Workshops run by international experts in their field cover range of issues from Access requirements into the main markets of EU, USA/Canada; Sustainability Standards, Seafood HACCP, Mercury v Health and Traceability and Logistics. They give all attendees the genuine chance to be involved in understanding and discussing the issues. They are all half-day events. These always sell out so get in early to book on line to ensure your seat.
Monday 24 September 2007
Congress begins with an Evening Reception including a welcoming address by IAFI President, Jayne Gallagher.

IAFI General Meeting - see http://www.iafi.net./ where there will be important discussions regarding the future of IAFI, new Board and elected officers appointed, etc. One of the interesting aspects here is the potential commencement of an International Seafood Trainers/Educators Network to fill a void which currently exists and which will greatly assist the capacity building for the international seafood community.

Looking forward to seeing you all in Dublin
