Position Title: Assistant Research & Extension Professor
Area of Specialization: Food Science
Department: Coastal Research & Extension Center
Position Function: Responsible for development and
coordination of research & extension programs focusing on fisheries food
processing, food saftey, and related topics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The individual will be responsible for
managing the Experimental Seafood Processing
Laboratory in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
Minimum Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. from an accreditied
institution of higher learning in any field applicable to food science
and technology. Individuals who are ABD will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum qualifications plus five years
experience in research and extension activites with related publications
and successfully demonstrated grantsmanship abilities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated proficiency in human relations skills, leadership ability,
and oral and
written communications.
