    On January 12, 2007, the President of the United States signed the
    Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Reauthorization Act
    of 2006 into law. The Act strengthens the 1996 provisions and extends
    the Act until 2013.

     

    The Sea Grant Law Program has prepared a fact sheet summarizing 12 key
