    Jason,

The 10k OTR bag is not considered a low-ox environment and as such does not
    require a TTI.

I found the following link on the Internet (dated 2002) in which the FDA
lists an appropriate control for C Bot. as:

Packaging specifications from the packaging manufacturer stating that the
packaging material has a permeability of more than 10,000 cc/m2/24 hour at
    24 C (75 F

    http://www.fda.gov/ora/fiars/ora_import_ia16125.html (under guidance
    section).

The manufacturer lists the same on their website found at:
    http://www.sealedair.com/products/food/fishsf/10k_otr_bag.html

I would like to open up a discussion about C. botulinum and reduced oxygen
packaging. If I use a 10,000 OTR bag, is it considered a reduced oxygen
package? I am trying to come up with some facts and studies to prove to the
FDA that C. bot can be controlled if I use a 10k bag to pack my fresh vac
packed product in without the use of TTI,s.

    Sincerly,
