    Dear List,

    Is it true that the fishing vessels & fishing harbours/ landing centres have
    to be approved by the Competent Authority (CA) for carrying out exports to
    the EU.

    If so, what is the mechanism for the same in the EU. Are any specific
    questionaire that is used available for reference. What cspecific criteria
    have to be met by the fishing vessels and landing centres. The requirements
    in anexure of EU regulation 853/2004 is very general & broad.

    Any one who could throw some light on this subject.
