More than 20 FDA officials have signed up to attend the NFI Technical
Conference in Orlando, January 29- February 1, 2007. They will join two
of our speakers from FDA, Dr. Bob Brackett, Director of FDA's Center for
Food Safety and Applied Nutrition and (Acting) Office of Seafood
Director, Don Kraemer. Dr. Brackett and Mr. Kraemer will review FDA
inspection priorities and discuss how FDA is using emerging technology
to complete its food safety mission. Kraemer will also attend the NFI
Technical Committee meeting on the last day of the Conference and is
expected to review highlights of the latest edition of the HACCP Fish
and Fishery Products Hazards and Controls Guide that is expected to be
published in early 2007. We have a terrific line up of speakers as well
as supplier and research exhibitors participating in the Conference.
