    Dear All,

I have been pretty quiet for a while now due to a change in jobs and
complete direction by moving from Australia to Ireland, and from auditing
back to training and project management. I am now working in Ireland for an
international seafood certification group, IFQC Seafood Certification
Alliance. So I am learning all about the Irish, UK and EU seafood industry
and how different and yet how the same it is as the Australian industry.
But there isn't much call for Beach de Mer/ Trepang/ Sea Cucumber HACCP
    plans here.

I hope to see everyone who came to the IAFI conference in Sydney last
September and those who didn't, in Dublin next year at The Most Important
    Seafood Event (see below).

Pamela, I will keep my current Aust email address at this stage due to some
firewall difficulties with my new one.

WORLD SEAFOOD CONGRESS 2007 - The Most Important Seafood Event

If you are a professional in any aspect of the seafood business then you
simply cannot afford to miss the IAFI 2007 World Seafood Congress, which is
being held in Dublin Ireland. Building on the success of the 2005 Sydney
Congress, the 2007 event will provide a visionary road map to the future of
    the seafood business worldwide.

The 7th World Seafood Congress to be held in Ireland in Croke Park, Dublin,
Ireland on 25-28th September is already being internationally discussed as
the most important event in 2007 seafood calendar.

The key Irish support bodies (BIM, Food Safety Authority Ireland and
Enterprise Ireland) and international support organisations (FAO, UNIDO)
have already agreed to host and co-organise the event.

It is anticipated that there will be 500-750 attendees from over 50
countries attending the 7th World Seafood Congress. Delegates will discuss
and learn about leading initiatives in Health Benefits and Nutrition, Trade
and Market Access, Science and Assurance Standards.

IFQC: Seafood Certification Alliance has been appointed by the Congress
Hosts as Co-organisers and as the Key facilitators for the Congress.

The Dublin event will be an exciting and highly interactive congress using
the latest in meeting technology. The vitally important issues in today's
seafood industry; Innovation, Sustainability, Safety and Trade, will be
explored by expert speakers and discussed in depth by the delegates. This
congress will set the future direction of the international Seafood business
and you will need to be there to ensure that your point of view is heard.

In addition to the conference element, there will be a unique exhibition
dedicated to the theme of Innovation in the Seafood industry. Tomorrow's
ideas, technologies and trends in New Product and Process Development,
Quality Assurance, Eco-labelling and Enforcement and Control will be on
display under one roof, forming an integral part of this ground breaking
meeting of the leaders in world seafood.

And it's on in Ireland! The most-fun place in the world to visit, there will
be an extensive spouses and partners programme and lots of opportunities to
experience the magic of Ireland The Emerald Isle, first hand.
