Dear Colleagues,
The 2006 biennial conference of the International Institute of Fisheries Economics & Trade will be held at the University of Portsmouth in the UK, this July 10-14. The program will provide a very diverse variety of presentations on fisheries management, seafood marketing, aquaculture economics, and other related topics. A draft of the program is now available at http://www.port.ac.uk/special/iifet2006/downloads/filetodownload,49360,en.pdf (please note it's still subject to some adjustment).
You can get all the information you need about how to participate in the conference at http://www.iifet2006.org/. If you can't make the full four days of the conference consider coming for "Policy Day" (details on the website.)
IIFET encourages the participation of individuals from all backgrounds, disciplines, and professional orientations in our conferences. One of the purposes of our organization is to provide a forum for interaction among academics, industry members, government and ngo resource managers, and all others interested in the management and trade of fisheries and seafood, from all regions and nations. Both theoretical and applied work is included in the rich and varied program.
Please visit the conference website and consider registering for the conference soon. I look forward to meeting you in July.
