I am looking to fill the position of Assistant QA Manager for our
company. Orca Bay Seafoods is located in Renton, Washington (south of
Seattle). We are a value-added seafood company that deals with many
varieties of frozen seafood. Our main business is frozen
vacuum-packaged steak and fillet items for foodservice and retail, and
crab items.
I am looking for someone with seafood experience and a college degree in
food science, microbiology, fisheries, or other relevant field of study.
The position will be very hands-on - lots of product inspections, some
of which would include heavy lifting and working in a cold, damp
environment. There will also be a lot of paperwork and
policies/programs work - good computer and organizational skills are
required. The person chosen for this position will also be expected to
learn all aspects of the QA Technician's and QA Supervisor's position to
substitute in those positions as necessary.
This is a 40-hour per week position, with the possibility of some
overtime. The pay is DOE.
