Employee Training
Survey
A new project is underway to develop resources to help food
processors, wholesalers and warehouses train their employees on basic
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). A survey questionnaire has been
developed to gather information from firms across the U.S. to assess
current employee training practices and needs. This information will be
compiled and used to help design and develop a low cost ($50 per person)
Internet based GMP training course and supplemental training materials
that can be delivered at the work site.
Industry members of this Listserve can help with this effort by filling
out the survey questionnaire before May 15, 2006. The survey can be
completed via the Internet or you can request that a copy be mailed to
you. To complete the survey online, simply go to the following Website
http://www.zoomerang.com/survey.zgi?p=WEB2253BSV5ZXU and follow the
instructions provided. Your participation and responses will be
anonymous.
This project is being conducted by the Universities of Rhode Island,
Delaware and Florida, Cornell University, Virginia Tech, and North
Carolina State University with funding support from the Cooperative State
Research, Education and Extension Service of USDA. If you have questions,
need to have a copy of the survey sent to you, or need additional
information contact Lori Pivarnik, University of Rhode Island by Email at
pivarnik@uri.edu or by phone at
401-874-2972.
Thanks for you help!
