    Dear Mr Tanco,

     

    Thanks for your information about TEQUISA. I went on their web site but
    they do not give any information about the composition of the Melacide.
    But, it is absolutely necessary to know of this mix of chemicals does not
    content any prohibited product to be able to import processed shrimps with
    this Melacide in Europe. For example, this kind of product could content
    EDTA which is prohibited for such purpose. Melacide is well known from more
    than 15 years in Latin America nevertheless it is still not much used as
    metabisulfite substitute, why?
