The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has no active MOU's for seafood
except for molluscan shellfish. The Shellfish MOU's are New Zealand,
Canada, Mexico, Chile and South Korea. Australia's application is
    pending.

FDA is working on the concept of compliance-based partnership agreements.
The partnership agreements contact is Mr. Timothy Hansen (Office of
Seafood) who will be giving a short presentation on that topic and the
problems of regulating foreign produced seafood at the Pacific Fisheries
Technologists meeting next month in Anchorage, Alaska (March 5-8, 2006).
Part of this concept would be to satisfy the affirmative steps provision
    of the Seafood HACCP Regulation.
