    Greetings from CSIRO, Hobart.

I am writing to alert you to a workshop titled 'DNA & Fingerprinting
Technologies for Seafood' to be held as part of the 6th World Congress
on Seafood Safety Quality and Trade. The Congress forms part of 'Seafood
Week' in Sydney and the workshop will be held on the afternoon of Sunday
    September 11, 2005 (1.30 - 5.30 pm at Star City).

Topics to be covered at the workshop include:

    * achieving standardised fish names to maximise consumer confidence, and
    * developments in testing, including DNA and fingerprinting technology.

I am convening the workshop on behalf of Congress organisers, and would
like to invite you to attend what is shaping up to be a useful,
    interesting and informative afternoon.

We have a few speakers already but there is room for more - please get
back to me if you would like to participate.

There is plenty of information about Sydney's Seafood Week, including
conference & workshop registration details, at
    http://www.seafooddirections.com/ and
    http://www.seafoodservices.com.au/conference/iafi/ .

    Best regards,

    Gus
