Good morning. Does anyone know about some compounds that are being used in some processing factories of Asia/other countries (non phosphates), for frozen shrimp weight gain (moisture)? I understand that some of these compounds could also mask the hydrate appearance of the shrimp that appear after using phosphates? Are they approved for food use? How are they being used?
