I received a phone call from a US FDA inspector who has conducted overseas
inspections. I wanted to share with the listserv that the inspector is
not aware of any hand-held metal detectors for use in the food industry.
We've seen those wands that are used at airports and in federal buildings
for security clearance. Metal detection devices are big and complicated.
