    The Retail Country of Origin Labeling became effective last Monday, April
    4, 2005.

    This USDA web site has an extensive list of resources (including the
    regulation, questions/answers, etc.) on the subject:
    http://www.ams.usda.gov/cool/

    There's also a link to examples of records (farm-raised shellfish,
    farm-raised fish, and wild fish) that may be used for COOL verification
    purposes.
