    Micro-Canners Conference, January 18-19, 2005, Astoria, OR

    The first annual Micro-Canners Conference will be held at the Duncan Law
    Seafood Consumer Center in Astoria, January 18-19, 2005. The conference
    is sponsored by the Community Seafood Initiative and is being held to
    meet the growing need for information for small and mid-size seafood
    canners and folks who are marketing their products. Micro-canners,
    fishermen and others who continue increase in numbers on the U.S. West
    Coast will benefit from a range of topics presented at the conference,
    including: supply - managing the ebbs and flows, new processing and
    canning technologies, traceability, niche markets, finding your slot in
    retail space, creating new product opportunities, etc. There will be a
    canned albacore taste-off in the evening as part of the event. Space is
