Sir/Madam,
I have been a member of this list for the past four years and this is my first posting.
I am posting this message in connection with an India International Food Science Project, called for by the national government here which is meant to conduct a comprehensive study of food standards, food testing infrastructure, codex resource system, HACCP/ISO/Organic products certification/accreditation system, human resource development in food processing etc. in India and suggest measures for its improvement from the experience of the International community (Other countries of the world).
I am an aquaculturist/marine biologist from India with two years experience in Japan. At present I am an academic/consultant (part time) in India. As Seafood is the major food export from India I am interested in jointly conducting this study with international experts from each country in the above fields.
I am sure academics/consultants/professionals from other countries would be on this list who would be able to contribute to this study. As I wanted to keep this message as short as possible, further details are available upon request.
