    Dear Listserve,

I recently inspected some deep-skinned Pollock block fillets and some of the sub-sample fillets had a raw odor and cooked flavor of fresh crab meat.

I suspect this is another case of "you are what you eat", and the Pollock were probably feeding on some young crab. I've noticed this odor before and am curious if anyone has any other explanation or if anyone has noticed it before too.

I liked the flavor and am thinking of taking some home tonight to steam and dip in butter! No shells to crack either!

    Thanks,

    Mark Neely
