    I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but, in the U.S. the FDA and
    most other regulatory food authorities prohibited the use of shells
    from scallops or oysters or other molluscs for food-contact service
    because the surfaces are porous and not capable of being sanitized.
    The shells could be used for displays.
