I am looking for a graduating baccalaureate student who might be
interested in pursuing graduate studies at the Fishery Industrial
Technology Center, School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, University of
Alaska Fairbanks (UAF). Our mission is to assist the Alaska seafood
industry in areas such as seafood safety, seafood processing, quality
control and new product development

interdisciplinary degree program in Seafood Science through the UAF
Graduate School. The courses and research are conducted in Kodiak.
Two years of funding starting in August 2004 are available for one
graduate student to work on a Master of Science degree. Interested

details about the seafood microbiology research project. Application
forms are available on-line through the UAF Graduate School
<http://www.uaf.edu/gradsch/>. Undergraduate transcripts, graduate
requirement examination (GRE) scores, TOEFL scores and three letters of
recommendation are required in the application.
