The National Fisheries Institute (NFI) is sponsoring a special
workshop on assessing the quality of tuna, mahi-mahi and shrimp
immediately after the Boston Seafood Show in nearby Gloucester, MA. The
two-day workshop is for industry professionals responsible for product
specifications and quality assurance. Importers are encouraged to
invite their suppliers to participate. The workshop will cover the
principles of organoleptic evaluation and will also familiarize
attendees with U.S. government standards for decomposition. Maximum
attendance is limited to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served
basis. Day One (March 17) will be tuna/mahi-mahi and Day Two (March 18)
will be shrimp. You can register on-line for both days or if you are
interested in attending one of the two days please contact Andrea Ginty,
