Good day
Ref Krill Study
I have been involved in the South Antarctic Krill fisheries (Euphausia superba, Dana) for many years. We have granted our services to different corporations, lately working for Ukrainian and European companies targeting this resource.
One of the products we have developed is a mild-cooked ready-to-eat frozen krill meat. For some time we are behind the analysis of the real nutritional contribution that South Antarctic Krill meat has for human nutrition/health. We will like to start doing a search of the world research done so far on this which we know has been mainly done in Eastern European countries (read Russian & Ukraine). Later, based on this, perform some real-scale research in the same topics in order to validate all or part of the former work.
We see our contribution as researchers and/or co-authors (at least on stage one) on a sort of University-funded R&D work on this topic or a private investor willing to jump on this very special product.
We see this work on a two-stage format:
Stage one: around 4-7 months. Literature search. Track all what has been written on krill meat benefit on human nutrition and health for the last, say, 30 years
Stage two: around 18-24 months (subject to above results) on-site usage trial on nutrition & health aspects using South Antarctic krill meats. This will require though medical school involvement.
sincerely
