Hello seafood experts. I'm hoping you can provide me with some insight on the diet and processing of hake.

    Do hake feed on shrimp?
Are the contents of a fish's stomach likely to make it through the cleaning process in commercially available fish?

I'm asking these questions on behalf of a woman who is allergic to shrimp and has also reacted to hake. She read that hake feed on shrimp and wondered if she was reacting to shrimp in the hake's stomach which contaminates the flesh instead of the hake itself.

She also heard that some farm grown catfish are fed shrimp. Is that true?
