    Dear Seafood List Members,

    I [Subramaniam Sathivel] am looking for a student who might be interested
    in pursuing graduate studies at the Fishery Industrial Technology Center,
    School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, University of Alaska Fairbanks
    (UAF). Our mission is to assist the Alaska seafood industry in areas such
    as seafood safety, processing, quality control and new product
    development. We offer an interdisciplinary degree program in Seafood
    Science through the UAF Graduate School

    and the research are conducted in Kodiak.

    Two years of funding starting in Summer 2004 will be available for one
    graduate student at the M.S. level. Interested students, having a
    background in food engineering/engineering/food Science or agricultural

    for details about the research project.

    Undergraduate transcripts, GRE scores, TOEFL scores, graduate study plan,
    and three letters of recommendation are required in the application.
