    PFT - FIRST CALL FOR PAPERS

    The 55th Annual Meeting of The Pacific Fisheries Technologists will
    convene in Seattle, WA USA at the Radisson Hotel Seattle Airport.

    Organizers of the Pacific Fisheries Technologists meeting invite both oral
    and poster presentations on recent seafood technology advances,
    regulations, projects especially as related to this years theme: FISH IS
    DELICIOUS AND NUTRITIOUS. Oral and postser presentations should reflect
    this theme. Industry members 0 from fishermen to marketers - are
    encouraged to share what they are doing to produce a product that people
    will want to eat again...and again, and that will benefit their health.
    Presenters are encouraged to direct their research towards the benefits of
    eating seafood and with improving recoveries and palatability in cultured
    products.

    Titles are due by January 30, 2004 and abstracts by February 16, 2004.

    Students are encouraged to attend the meeting and present their work while
    connecting with other seafood technologists. PFT is continuing the
    tradition of cash awards for the best oral and poster presentations --
    $300 in each category.

    University, industry and government representatives will be asked to serve
    on panels that relate to the theme of the conference.
