    Dear Mr. Lord

I am attaching the price series from the GLOBEFISH data bank. Hope they are
    useful.

    Best regards

Subject: cuttlefish prices & temperature probe

I would very much like to receive information on representative cuttlefish
prices from around the world. It doesn't matter so much the species or what
the product form is or if the price is to the fisherman, retail, wholesale
etc as long as I know that the price represents a particular product form at
a particular level in the chain.

I despair at the waste of cuttlefish locally. Our fishermen cannot sell it
as seafood and it is being relegated to bait for £0.35 (pound
Sterling) per kilo. It is a terrible waste of a delicious food. Our
cuttlefish landings are being used primarily for conger eel bait.

I need some market intelligence to improve the situation.

Thank you very much to the many helpful people who responded to my request
for information on a temperature probe. I did order one from a Dutch
company called Gullimex, which was recommended to me by someone on this
list. I am also receiving useful information from other companies for
future supplies. Thank you for the generous help.

    Best Wishes,
    Yours sincerely,
    Richard
