Robert and the Seafood Discussion list:
On the Seafood Network Information Center, there are two pages that may be
helpful to you and other subscribers:
The "Compendium of Fish and Fishery Product Processes, Hazards, and
Controls" has information at:
http://seafood.ucdavis.edu/haccp/compendium/Chapt27.htm#Commercial%20Test%20Products
"Histamine Test Kit Comparison" by P.L. Rogers and W. F. Staruszkiewicz
(originally published in the J. of Aquatic Food Product Technology, Vol. 9
(2) 2000, p. 5 -17 and posted with permission from JAFPT) is at:
http://seafood.ucdavis.edu/pubs/histamine.htm
A note to our subscribers regarding the SeafoodNIC server: We are still
having problems with the server. The computer technician transferred the
IP address to another server and he has been on sick leave since.
Viewers can't distinguish the difference. However, the SeafoodNIC is on a
MAC at the moment, and I've noticed some problems. I'm at a training
class this week, and the best I could do for now was to make sure that
SeafoodNIC is accessible. (Sometimes the other server goes down.) By
next week, I hope to have the server up and running from my office again.
You may be experiencing problems accessing the server while I work with
the technician on the transfer.
