The Seafood Network Information Center server (seafood.ucdavis.edu) went
down yesterday and I hope to have it back up tomorrow morning.
There was a code red worm imbedded in the server's memory. (We think it's
been there for quite some time.) People who accessed the server were not
at risk. When the worm was removed yesterday, the process interupted the
internet service connection. Our computer technician is on sick leave
today but valiantly called in and tried to help me bring the server back
on line. At least we were able to pinpoint the problem this afternoon.
Thank you for your patience.
