    I also got a similar request for this info. The following comes from Barry Ackerman with the Pacific Region of Canada's Dept. of Fisheries & Oceans.

    "We have suspended all fishing for hagfish off the west coast of Canada.
    There is however a fishery still occuring off Newfoundland... would suggest
    you contact Tom Curran A/Chief, Resource Management in NFLD for more info."
