Dear Constantine
I think I can help with the Shalaby reference, though it is not the same
year:
Shalaby, A.R., 1996, Significance of biogenic amines in food safety and
human health, Food Research International, 29(2), 675-690.
It is cited in Lehane, L. & Olley, J., 2000, Histamine fish poisoning
revisited, International Journal of Food Microbiology, 58, 1-37, but no
paper by Deng-Fwu is cited there.
It might be:
Deng-Fwu Hwang, Sheng-Hsiung Chang, Chyuan-Yuan Shiua and Tuu-jyi Chai,
1997, High-performance liquid chromatographic determination of biogenic
amines in fish implicated in food poisoning, Journal of Chromatography B:
Biomedical Sciences and Applications, 693, 23-30, and erratum in same
journal, 1998, 716, 397.
I can not trace any papers by Bergstrom in my collection of references.
