    No, all cooked shrimp available in the U.S. market are not treated with STPP. Some cooked shrimp may be processed from raw shrimp which have been treated with the humectant STPP, but this is not a hard and fast rule of any type.
    If you desire to purchase cooked shrimp without STPP, this is easily handled via your specifications wherein you may specify that STPP is not permitted. This is a very common practice.
      Perhaps some of our listserve members may correct me if I'm wrong but I'm unaware of any FDA maximums for STPP [GRAS] in seafood, although there are some limitations in other products, e.g. food starch-modified. You may wish to perform a more thorough research of your question at http://www.fda.gov.
