    Dear members :

Our company is intended to export to the USA "Frozen Scallops" ( just
the muscle, not the orange colour part).
I started searching about US regulations and found that there is a
National Shellfish Sanitation Program that regules all related to
Shellfish Commerce within the USA, but about imports is not clear.

I also read that imports of fresh and frozen shellfish are forbidden
unless products were processed in countries that have an agreemment
with USA; perú does not have such agreement.

I understand that bivalves could be harmful if are harvested or catches
in contaminated areas but for this case we intend to ship just the
    muscle.

Could anyone give me some additional information or advise??

I will appreciate your soonest replay.

    Best Regards,

    Arturo Salazar M.
