Dear M. Daxboeck
We are exporting to EU, canned and brined fish with herbs and spices. For the
last decade, we had no reaction dealing with these components.
The reason is that the EU regulation deals mainly with fish itself .
However, and if the extra fish ingredients bring to the fish, foreign
hazards, the EU regulation will react.
So,if you want to avoid problems, make sure to add to the fish only those
ingredients that are free from hazards such as
contaminants,pesticides,.......
You can do that by including in your HACCP plan,a CCP that deals with these
ingredients.
