Good Morning from Oregon,
I am needing some help with information geared toward
processing Pacific sardines as a food fish.We have been
processing for longline bait and will continue to look towards eventually
doing some for possible canning or even fresh.I am familiar with the
histamine problem in this type of fish as we process Albacore Tuna. I am
looking for help with what is required from the Harvest Vessel and also how
we would handle receiving from the harvest vessel as I am sure that it will
greatly differ from how we
handle Albacore because of the volume of the sardines
in each delivery. Any information recieved would be great.
