We have not been ignoring the comments that have been posted by
subscribers. Bob Price, our other mailing list co-owner, is away at a
meeting for a few days. Thanks for your patience as we see how traffic
progresses on this *discussion* list in the next few days.
I'm glad to see that no "out of office" messages have come across since I
posted my message this morning.
This afternoon someone forgot about my February 15 and March 17 messages
which asked that subscribers refrain from sending attachments through this
mailing list. There are concerns regarding viruses. There's also a
concern about storage space. Today's attachment was soo large (>2500K)
that many mailboxes rejected the message due to a lack of storage space.
Instead, these rejected messages got dumped into Bob Price's and my
mailboxes. So this is a reminder to please e-mail brief messages and do
not include attachments. If you can post your announcement on a website,
I recommend that your message include the url address.
