To: Seafood HACCP Mailing List
Fr: Pamela Tom - list co-owner, UC Davis, Sea Grant Extension Program
1. Yesterday we changed the list so that the "reply" goes to the entire
mailing list instead of fo the original sender. The intent is to open
discussion and share information. So, there may be an increase of traffic
from this mailing list.
2. If you create a "going on vacation" or "out of the office" message to
automatically respond to your incoming e-mail messages, please (if
possible) include this information on the subject line. Our listproc at
UC Davis screens for these types of messages, but it only screens the
subject line. Consequently, the entire mailing list of 850 subscribers
world wide may receive your "out of office" message if the above procedure
is not followed.
3. Reminder -- you can consolidate your messages from this mailing list
into a DIGEST which delivers one message (usually on a daily basis)
containing a group of messages that were transmitted since the last digest
was made. Only you, the subscriber, can request this change. You need to
send a message to listproc@ucdavis.edu
In the message text, simply type:
set seafood mail digest
Your footer (i.e., return address, reference to the mail server you are
using, etc.) needs to be turned off. Otherwise, listproc may not be able
to read your command.
