I feel like I should change the title of this mailing list to "Seafood
HACCP and Viral Warning Mailing List."
Just a short while ago, I received two worms (as the attachment, Patch. e
x e) from the same Fijian address. (The sender's address was removed
about 6 months from this mailing list.) The worm has not been transmitted
via this mailing list. The worm originated on 3/13/02 in Japan. I'm
writing to give you a heads up. Disinfecting information is available via
the two web sites below.

Don't become alarmed and think that Pamela Tom's computer is going to
transmit a virus to you. This is reasonably unlikely to occur!
My two critical control points for preventing a viral hazard on this
mailing list include:
1. using "Pine" on a UNIX system (instead of MS Outlook) to read and send
all mailing list messages.
2. not keeping a MS Outlook addressbook [I use "Pine" for my addresses]
Finally...as a reminder, attachments are banned on this list to protect
subscribers from any viruses. So...if you receive an attachment via this
mailing list, please do not open it.
You can receive a virus from any source; not necessarily this mailing
list. Please remember to update your anti-viral software on a regular
basis.
