    To the best of my knowledge,the same analysis is performed on a random basis
    at the entry of the EU.It is intended to make sure that no product of animal
    origin could mix with other food.It has been noticed that BSE has spread
    mainly through animal feed, and that fish farming has been using some of
    that feed.
    As for labs,any one that could perform analysis on animal proteins could do
    the job.
