    Dear Coleagues,

Firstly I would like to inform those that know me that my E-mail address has just been changed to lglimpus@shaw.ca please note the change in your address book or on any other list you keep.

I was asked at a recent meeting what happened to the ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) FPHT (Fisheries Post-Harvest Technology) Network and ASEAN FPHT Information Network (Website and E-mail letter). The ASEAN FPHT Network still exists. It is a loose network of ASEAN government fisheries agencies conducting regional activities in FPHT requested by AMAF (ASEAN Ministers of Agriculture and Forestry) and coordinated by MFRD/SEAFDE (Marine Fisheries Research Department/Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center) in Singapore. The ASEAN FPHT Information Network (Website and Newsletter) was hosted by the Singapore Government Primary Production Department (PPD) for a short period of time after the finish of the ASEAN-Canada Fisheries Post-Harvest Technology Project finished; however as governments evolve the PPD was privatized to the AVA (Agrifood and Veterinary Authority) which now had to pay another government department to run the website. MFRD/SEAFDEC offered to take up part of the information contained in the website. It can be found at www.seafdec.org then click on MFRD.
