Freek Huskens asked about light tables to check Tilapia fillets. I came across an article in which uv light was used to detect parasites in fish fillets. This gave a 50% better result than the use of white light. Also fish bones will show up with some fluorescence when UV light TL tubes are used.
We still work with white TL tubes in our light tables with milk white coloured plexy glass. For us this works fine. Possibly you could consider to use a combination of UV and white TL tubes for better results. Has anyone tried this?
